I realize that there are components of the the Thai GDP other than under-age sex trade but your gonna' play it off like most of the pointy-shoed, F'ed-up hygiene crowd with little Thai kids on the back of rentals are on their way to school? Jeez, the way you turn your back on this, one would think you work for the Thai government. (And I think the most recent famous perv, Mr. Highpants, was, by chance, a U.S. transplant.)

If there is one thing the Thai government is trying and would dearly like to do is stomp this out. It is not Thia way, there is plenty places to go for mature and legal attention. The west drives this underground, prostitution is illegal in all countries I know of and it ends up with this perversion started by this attitude.

Im gonna tell you something and I dont expect disbelief,--I honestly would not know where to go for this . I have lived there 20 years in the same town and I DO NOT know where or how you get into this. However it is as you say westerners, I do not see them riding around on scooters NO but I see them in the newspapers being arrested.

If you see a man with a young boy or girl it will be his son or daughter, this is not done in broad daylight. How would you react to some stranger accusing you of phedaphilia whilst walking with your daughter.

My comment about my friends children is very real and some tourists will get into a lot of trouble if my mate ever catches them.

It is very not wise to bring your Western mind and judge the East.

    You'lle be wrong everytime.

Weeeeelllll I gueass it is big talk by the old pirate yourself about stripping bars and stuff that gives us the idea it's so free and easy over there. I mean I was ready to move there and become your neighbour in the marina.... and you could drag my sorry *** back to the boat every night after our little outing. Sounds perfect doesn't it.

    I enjoyed that :D

Probably a spinoff from the kind of publicity that gets the (only) most attention.

Going back to pirates... They are there. They will always be there. Is there any solutions besides avoiding the areas or blowing them up.

I was thinking of running a cable under boat attach to my 400 amp generator and electrocuting them when they can close... Nah, probably would not work.

Or may be taking my microwave apart and making death ray from it.

Or may be having my own drones with guns

I tell you these crazy American *******...

The problem usually is when you sit in your office the six meter wave is just a six meter wave.

Being out on the water the six meter wave means somethig totally different ;)
How do one get these skid marks off your pants... and as I said before I didn't know adrenalin was brown :D

Thats about it Fannie Africa has lions and tigers, France has got frogs legs, Thailand has prostitution I guess, and America has murders and muggings errr well any way your right.

Not always what we would like to be remembered for wether it be true or not.

Mark was just telling me about is package tour to Thailand, he appeared to have picked up quite a bit, certainly more than I ever did over 20 years.

He must be very intelligent to pick up so much in such a short time.

The best one can do is to employ them as "privateers" as the British did in the days when Frosty was a "cabin Boy" and the ships were all square riggers and the sailors often said "Arrgrrrhhh", with a sort of gravelly voice... and the weapons of choice were cutlasses (held in the teeth) and the guns were muzzle loaders with a bore ranging from half an inch up to 2 inches in diameter....

You got it mixed up there just a tad. That is South Africa that has murders and muggings.

America have 'Coka Cola' und 'Wunderbra' (Rammstein 'America')

Since when was Frosty ever younger than what he is today ?

I can imagine the conversation climbing the rigging...

Frosty1 said "Arrgrrrhhh", cutlasses (held in the teeth)
(I wonder what's for lunch. I hope that stupid cook doesn't put as much salt in this time)

Frosty2 said "Arrgrrrhhh", cutlasses (held in the teeth)
(I heard they got a french yesterday... so it will probably be oven baked bunns and legs soup)

Frosty1 said "Arrgrrrhhh", cutlasses (held in the teeth)
(gad... I'm glad I'm not the cook. Those french are so full of **** it takes all day to clean them properly)

    Hi THERE! New Member

Can no one give me the name of a basic boat model that meets the specifications I described?

I mean don't you guys know anything about boats? I thought I could describe a boat I had in mind and you guys could point me in the right direction.

This is the Boat Design forum isn't it?

    Hi Hi,

Well--yes it is a forum kinda thingy,--but not here in this place. This is a place for geriatric old sods with loads of time on there hands and talk absalute crap most of the time.

However intelligent your question seems to be to you it is rather misplaced and would no doubt get a better response in say (using your words) "Dont you guys know anything about boats") for instance.

Although there are many members who would be delighted to "send you in the right direction" I know of none who practice mental telepathy that can guess what boat your thinking about.

    Hi there Hi there :D

Not really. The more you learn about the bloody things the more you realize how little you actually know :D

Maybe I have it completely wrong but I think you have a bit of a misperception about how it works. They are not organized like you yanks are. They have no marines they drop off on the pass when they do this pirate thing. They don't wear uniforms and they don't have ranks like you have. They have no radio's to coordinate things...

You are looking at a bunch of scavengers. Their leader is the one with the biggest gun or knife and who has killed the most people and has the worst attitude. Really gang like. They take what they want and does nothing legally and has no respect for anything. They are rather poor, if you expect some uniforms or nice clothing well, it's just not them. If you do find anything new like new shoes it's probably stolen off'n the previous boat.

They will go out to see what they can get, their only lever is weapons they use to enforce themselves.

On the boat you were talking about, I dunno man, who will maintain it for them... who mounted the gun on it ? These people have so little technical skill and knowledge I doubt they know what radar is never mind using a jammer. I doubt if most of them even had any formal education. Their highest form of ambition is probably to luit the next boat and get the most between them of the goods they score. If you're thinking there's any plans and techniques other than grab what you can, you're going to be disappointed.

I suggest you read up some on how they really ARE before assuming things are as you envision it.

Fannie I and everyone else here are unable to know if they are uneducated but unorganised?? ---I don't thinks so . They simply would not be able to do what they do, --take a tanker ,stop it and take control all by chaos mayhem and chance na na na.

They have bank accounts are able to communicate with ship owners and accept ransom payments, all by uneducated thugs?

Google for somalia and read up a bit on them. Most of the countries around them had some finger in the pie there, none was the somali's own initiative. I don't even think they have a bona fide gov, probably just a few self acclaimed induna's running around there being chief over a million or so.

Go full steam ahead, google for it. It's not much different than many other african countries... except they have a horn.

    Hi THERE! New Member

Okay, I'm posting a thread in the boat design forum. I don't know why I chose general discussion to post this. I guess becuase I'm not really designing boats I just need to know model names that I can research.

Basically what I'm looking for is a, "Well, the boat you're describing sounds like a (boat model)" then I can go look that up and research the layout so I can write around it's structure. Know what I'm sayin?
