Planes in the air ,--are you joking. Do you think they fly the skull and crossbones? How do you know its not a fisherman who have incidentaly complained that they are now being harrased at sea for nothing more than fishing.

Some of these pirates are the fking police that drops the uniform at the appropriate moment. My friends wife was shot through the thigh off Sacotra by a wave of machine gun fire , the ******** wore uniforms as they robbed them and was going to shoot them on the trampoline of thier cat but the older of the gang pushed the barrel into the air just in time. The young kid was quite prepaired to murder them in cold blood.

Frosty, Over seven thousand days at sea between the goats of the Galapagos and the fox farms of the Komandorskis on research, cargo, tugs, sport charter, Bering Sea commercial crab, cod. Set foot on every Aleutian island larger than a rock to Cape Wrangle where I climbed mount Wrangle on Attu and counted 167 Stellar sea lions from above for NMFS in 1996 (down from 22,000 ten years prior), found war remnants, bodies, planes, crawled through battery submarines at the Japanese Kiska mini-sub base, tested for radioactivity at Amchitka (Where Greenpeace got their start) Spent a week cleaning up Navy left-over **** on Kasatochi Island (Native name: "Wasn't there yesterday"), Spent four months offshore of the Midways, Two months in the Faulklands. Didn't step foot ashore for a more than five month stretch three times in my life. Spent small amounts of time delivering between Valdez, Alaska and Singapore. Rode a ferry I didn't trust between Phuket and Kho (island) PiPi then Ao Nang Krabi. Rode ferries between Helsinki and Estonia, Dover to Calais and some cruise ships here and there. Read more books than most people know exist. Tho I was utterly and completely alone at sea a vast majority of the time, I was shot at twice, hit once, rammed twice, rammed another boat in defence twice, in aggression once. Shot a potato gun at a boat once, showed a rifle at least a dozen times and had an aggressor turn and go another way EVERY TIME. Havn't been around very many bad people, mostly just Americans.

one of the reasons the Somali's have turned to piracy ( not that it gives them an excuse ) is that there local fishery has gone the way of the Dodo
big old off shore mother ships came in from overseas and wiped out the fishery
so pretty much anything in the water that is toting to many people and looks like an old Somali fishing smack
is fair game or at least worth a closer look
dont underestimate the us servalence capabilities
they wont have any trouble seeing there guns either in whatever wave length they get the best resolution

Its becoming clear to see that the drivel thread was a good idea. It would clear some out of this place . I mean if you wanted to say something but was'nt quite sure well that would be the place to dump it.

It is quite possible that 50% of the crap dumped here could have been put to better use ,--like comedy.

And yes I do realize that I have left myself open to the the last comment, it was a rhetorical comment.

Mas talkin' about **** being off-topic. That's a sure way to get ME to stop typing - I'm laughing too hard! In fact, As I was pointing out to Frosty that I HAD been to sea and how simply showing a rifle detered illicit action almost every time, I was, indeed, completely on-topic. I'm hard pressed to find a Mas post that was EVER on topic!

Most are responses to what is there and I just follow that need? what can I say? - I try to help Frosty with his concerns, I feed stuff to the appropriate thread if I feel it may be relevant to a broader understanding - (sometimes tongue in cheek) - and other times in all seriousness and honest concern... Always to enlighten and 'entertain'... and was not an "act of piracy" in the pirate thread??????

Plans in the works, I hear. My guess is sink and burn anything that floats on the beach or in the bay that the pirates use. Now they cannot service the hostage ships where the crews are being held. Then they rake the decks of the ships to get everyone below decks. The hilos come in and drop off the special ops groups (8 men teams) To take them down. Need lots of teams and will be done at night. The beach straffing will be done in day light and will be loud and firery to scare all who see. My 2 bits but I've been good at my guesses recently

Rasorinc, just nuke the darn place and get rid of it once and for all. 'Cleaning up' just means in less than a week it is forgotten and the next wave mobilize to start it all all over.

If you want to keep a few samples stuff them and put them in a meuseum.

No come on Mas, if you're cleaning the shed out, do you kill only the 2 rats that took a bite on the wiring but 'save' the rest ? No, you clean the whole friggin lot out. If you want to save anything save the whales 4 5 C

Just one or two examples like that and the countries themselves will start executing thier own that just distinctly resemble a friggin pirate.

Screw humanity and screw human rights. None of the countless victims was showed any humanity or enjoyed any human rights.

Fanie, we do not want to waste the 200 + crews being held and the owners want their ships back. Stan
