Generator placement on houseboat

In another recent discussion it was brought up that the location of my generator placement (on a shelf-like platform inside a weather proof enclosure box) may permit CO fumes into the cabin. I looked into some way to divert the exhaust fumes down and away from the area (since the platform and enclosure box is bolted on to stay and the generator will be located off the transom there.) That will certainly work as long as the flexible tube doesn't deteriorate and crack, so it has to be stainless steel, not aluminum.

 

Best noisemaker location is in a soundproof box , trailed behind in the dink.
