I was wondering if someone can tell me if the ddc hull was originally designed to be used with a surface drive? Thanks Dwight

    Dwight,

You have the right spot, but I can't help you. Things slow down here at the end of the week. I'm sure someone will give you some help.

    Dwight,

Is it just the Duo Delta Conic hull that you are wondering about? Or is it stepped hulls in general. It may surprise you that stepped hulls have been around since 1872. That’s not a typo, 1872, a long time before modern surface drives. If you want to read a first class article about stepped hulls get the October/November issue of Professional Boatbuilder, #85. The way I understand it there should be no reason for a ddc step to be limited to surface drives. But my understanding has been corrected many times in the past.
