Documentary on Fijian double canoes

    Apparently, these were built up to 100 feet long, and would outrun European merchant ships, allowing the crew of the former to snack on the crew of the latter!

    the documentary, made in 1960 by David Attenborough, features the making of dugout canoes, and sailing a small double canoe (catamaran) with a crab claw sail.
