I need help to in understanding how much damping a boat would have in calm water?

I am basically attempting to simulate a boat on water (for simplicity its not a sailing boat).

If a boat has been disturbed so that it rolls (say 10 degrees), how would I calculate the damping coefficient? (lets assume that the boats dimensions, weight, etc are know) .

I believe it has something to do with eddies and viscous drag and the idea is it can be implemented with damped harmonic motion equation.

    Can anyone help please?
