The Ultime Tri was recently relaunched. So far I haven't found any description of her new foils.

A FRESH NEW LOOK FOR THE IDEC SPORT MAXI-TRIMARAN - IDEC SPORT Sailing https://www.idecsport-sailing.com/2018/02/22/a-fresh-new-look-for-the-idec-sport-maxi-trimaran/?lang=en
    Excerpt:
Always ready to offer a great image and aware of the fantastic technological leap forward made by the other boats in the Ultime Class, Francis Joyon is pleased to be able to update his maxi- trimaran, as he looks forward to the battles that lie ahead including the Route du Rhum, which starts from St. Malo on 4th November. We won’t really be flying like the more recent boats in the class,” he stressed, “but thanks to these foiling appendages, we should take off with the central hull just touching the water, and that means we should gain in terms of sheer speed.”

    Thanks Doug for the news,

Eventually, Yves le Blevec will also participated as skipper at the Nice Ultimed, with ex-Gitana 11, an ORMA stretched to 77 feet in 2010, she will be named for this event "Actual-Grand Large Emotion" (co-sponsoring). So 4 Ultims as expected for Nice Ultimed, with Banque Populaire 9, Sodebo & Idec sport.

Too bad Gitana 17 won't be ready......It will be very interesting to see how Banque Populaire does-I think it is the only one there with a daggerboard lifting foil and uptip foils on the amas.

    Corley epoxy coated

I read an interview that Francis Joyon was saying with the mods they should pick up a few percent in terms of average speed, impressive for a boat that is already heavily optimised.

In the interview of Vincent Lauriot-Prevot concerning the on-going upgrade of Macif, he said :
"And the next foils will be a little less stable, drag a little less and go a little faster. Imagine on phases where it is 35 knots, it will be 38 ... Instead of being often between 720 and 760 miles, it will be between 760 and 800 in 24 hours."
    >>> I presume he proposed the same goal to Joyon for Idec, in the foils assist mode : in this interview during the re launch day (video here after), Joyon said :"... foils for full flying was not realistic for Idec, but with the new foils we aim 3 tons more of sustentation and 2-3 Knots more speed ..."
