Cutting back bulkhead

    That bulkhead was very inefficiently attached to the bulkhead. From what is seen in the photos, it is doubtful that it could be considered as a resistant element of the structure. It could not even be considered with its recessed perimeter, but simply supported. Therefore, my opinion is that you can cut it wherever you want, keeping a minimum width of about 250 mm and avoiding sharp corners. Just an opinion.
