I hope it does not come to that in OZ - Guns are not easy to come by (unless one has criminal contacts) - which I don't.... - - - - - - - - - Mornin Jim, Heinz and all others.,...

I would rather suffer a lesser amount of pain and still have time to recover and enjoy a quieter and peaceful life in the residue of my "4score&ten"

it sounds dramatic... but who knows where this one ends. Better to be thought of as a bit mad and be wrong than the alternate.

Oil is a worry, I think its going to spike badly... the USA without adequate supply for a week or two stops eating simply because of the amount of food that needs to be moved. I'm not suggesting that but difficulties could arise and fuel rationing might be closer than you imagine... indications are that the "tank" is drawn dangerously low.

Jim, - - I suggest, bury them (the tanks) and have it so that to get the fuel it must be pumped out - a bit safer against "sneak it out" theft... :D:D:D:D

It is still going but distemper infected a couple of posters on a piratical mission moved to http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/showthread.php?t=22206 for my convenience as Meanz Beanz is on holidays up near Brisbane (from Melbourne) and is not talking to me or on the net and some of the other regular posters may be busy with business... Me, - I am in "survive the storm mode with all anchors out" and watching events.... - - - How about posting some views from Singapore.... I am on a standby computer as my main (NEW) toy is down with warrenty issues - manufacturing defects in motherboard and ram I think????

    Oil

What the oil compaies, and government dont talk about,(This country keeps more secrets from its people than most dictatorships!) is the fact that This country injects 2 out of every 3 barrels of oil imported into This country into the ground as strategic storage, and has more oil in the ground than in the 1920's, and we the consumers pay the price.(Many depleteted salt mines in the wid west are currently full of crude.) The central valley of california is a large, nearly depleted gas field, and the company I used to work for is drilling injecion wells in this area and injecting them with middle east crude oil as fast as the natural gas runs out.(The Sacramento valley floor has raised by 2.5 feet in this process.) Dont let the ""MAN" fool you! The next time I take a trip into the valley, I will try to remeber to bring my camera, and will post pics of working gas wells, working injection wells, and some of the injection drilling rigs in this area. Not to mention that one of the largest untapped fields on record lies just off the California coast, and in US territory. Also, the siberian fields are just starting to come into production, with a pipline planned to cross the bearing strait, and tie into the alaska pipeline by 2012(part of the agreement for the technology to produce these fields.)
