Looks like a lot of fun.

One question - you are using "chine logs" in your designs that need planing and shaping.

What are your thoughts on "stitch and epoxy" only, for the chines?

This would avoid all the fitting and shaping work required for the longtitudinal timbers.

The Lion 550 is built using the technology of stitch and glue.
The parts are sewed together by plastic ties, after which the joint is pasted with a fiberglass tape.

Yes, you're right in the Lion 800 - 870 is really much more work, but after the completion of construction the builder will receive more boats. )))

Nice boat Unik. May I ask what plywood are you using? Looks like spruce (picea abies) in the photos.

Thanks. I tought you found something lighter than birch and with the knot pattern I tought you are using Wisa spruce. But I suppose the boat is designed for birch ply and can take the weight.

It is possible to compact other kinds of plywood, if the plywood will have less weight, this will only improve the characteristics of the boat.

The main thing that plywood was water resistant.
