composite stringers

    I am redoing my stringers on an 87 c-hawk pilothouse. the plywood stringers afre rotten. I was thinking of using composite azek board to make 2x12 stringers the fiberglassing with 1.5 mat, 24 rov and 1.5 mat again. is composite okay to use in this application??

    If you are using it for the shape then increase the glass load,otherwise use Marine plywood or a product like Coosa blue water 26

    thanks. I know im using them for the mold, but i guess they do add to the structural suport as well
