I have a 45 foot yacht mold located near Southampton in the UK. I was going to use it but plans have changed. It has been successfully used in the past. All reasonable offers will be considered and you will need to do the removal.

This is the description given to me when I bought it in October:

"Set of GRP / Fibreglass MOLDS for the production of 45ft. long keeled, aft cockpit cruising yacht. (We do not know of the model or brand name)

Finished Molding length 45ft, beam 12ft.10", draft 6ft.

Molds consist of hull mold and 2 pieced deck mold which bolt together.
The hull sits in a hydraulic wheeled cradle but this may need some attention.

They are in need of a good clean and polish but will come up well with some work.

Molds will need 2 lorries to transport. A low loader / boat transporter plus a 40ft. flat back lorry, also cranes to load and unload.

Molds are stored just outside Southampton, Hampshire (Postcode SO40)"

Please let me know if this is of interest to you: mike.reid.phys@gmail.com

I will be out of the country until the middle of June but it may be possible to remove it earlier.

    Many thanks,

    Michael Reid

We would take £3000 or best offer for the boat molds.
We are looking to get rid of them in the next month or so to free up space.

She's a Bruce Roberts Classic 45, good looking boat, hope someone steps up and buys it.

Would be nice with a fuller length coach roof to allow tall people like me to get around below more comfortably.

    Price Reduced!

    Hello all boat builders...
We need to clear out these molds to make space. For this reason we have reduced the price to £2 500. If you can remove it between the 23rd of June to the 4th of July we will reduce the price further to £2 000. Please contact us if you have questions or are interested. Other offers considered.

I'm not trying to be a dope here R46 but could these actually be used as the boat? I'm guessing they are fiberglass, maybe the same thickness as the hull designed to be laid up in them but a bit rough on the outside. Is this completely crazy?

    Hello Serow,
I imagine it would be possible but the molds are not streamlined in the way hulls are. This means that it would need a lot of work to address this I believe. This is not my area of expertise though.

    Hi Michael,

I am very much interested in the boat mold. I don't know the current offered price and will with all respect give my offer of £1. This is because i live in Rønne, Denmark and the cost of transportation is at the moment not known to me. I hope you get back to me if this in anyway have interest and/or if the mold has not been sold.

    All the best

    Hello all boat builders.

Just had a sale fall through due to transportation costs to mainland Europe. The boat mould specs are:

The hull mould is 13ft high. Length 46 ft, width 14ft.
The deck mould is in two pieces, overall length 46ft, but as this is in 2 pieces this could possibly be partly overlapped, maximum width 13ft. Height max 4ft.

Please make sure that you have a valid transportation quote prior to making an offer.
    Please contact me at mike.reid.phys@gmail.com.
    many thanks,
    Mike.

    Final clear out

We are reducing the price of the boat mold to £100 for a quick sale. Either that or we break out the power tools... :(

Must go by the end of the month.

    Last and final offer.

We have to clear the space and so must scrap the mold in the first week of August. This is a really sad endeavour and we do not wish for this to occur. If anyone would like to rescue our lovely molds please contact us as soon as possible and you can have them for £1.
