    Hi all,

I've posted this on the yahoo multihull builders group also.

I'm going to look at a mini bridgedeck cat for sale locally. 20' fiberglass, usual red baron/ litle barrier etc type of thing.

I thought I knew of every variant of this type of boat but have never heard of these. Owner says it has compass craft decals on sides and is different to a red baron.

So the question is have any of you encountered this type of boat or have any ideas on wha it might be ?

    Thank you for reading.

red baron I have heard the name of but cannot recall - - - and Little Barrier is a NZ design with a 30ft variant manufactured for a while in Deagon, on the N side of the horse race track - He was burnt out a couple of years ago by an arsonist who set fire to a nearby business... It was called a "Great Barrier Express" - A good and fast sailing boat enjoyable in round-the-buoys-racing or careful coastal-cruising / weekend-outings...

    No.

    Express multihulls built two catamarans.

30' variant on Tennant's Great Barrier Express, lengthened to 30' and built in foam sandwich with a "sports deck", a pod on the bridgedeck open at the back. $100k sail away as I recall.

Little Barrier was a 20' mini bridgedeck foam sandwich. Bare hull was $15k and sailaway was about $30k.

This is one recently listed and sold.

Red baron built in western australia I believe. One of the early mini bridgedecks.
