cig lighter inverter warns against plugin flashlights etc

    manual says things with build in battery might be damaged if plugged directly into AC outlet, and to use separate batt charger.

    Is this for real or just some corp lawyer CYA after getting sued by someone who didn't know WTF the issue was to begin with?

    It has pics of laptop and flat screen on it which is mostly what I bought it for. Also to recharge Baefeng UV-5R batts, 110 drop lights, etc.
