Chinese sampan!!

    I've a plan to build an old model of a Chinese sampan.Any one here make them before??Do you have a line plan or general arrangement??

    search for junk boat in this forum, you find enough to built one on your own. Sampan is translated as three piece plank boat... I think there is alot of builder in your area to look for info. Maybe buying few ref book would help. Thomas colvin and the old hand of western world on junk rig might be the best track to soak upon.

    dongvn, where did you get that image!

    It has every thing in it, tabernacle, lifting rudder with diamond holes and tackle on the tiller. Transom and centre board at the bow...
    Only thing missing is the pram bow?
    How big will it be?
