cement boat competition question

    as long as you fully hydrate all the portland cement, the less water you use the stronger the structure will be. you may be surprised how little water is actually need in the mix. but this will not change the final weight of the structure any significant amount. Is he giving you the sand or can you choose your own?

    for strenght, use radiuses with no corners, steel mesh throughout, and as someone said earlier, make the weight low and wide this will make chances of flipping or capsizing lower.

    yeah we're required to use his sand.
