I have noticed that some members have requested information regarding steering systems for catamarans.
    I have developed a system that requires:idea:
    No link bar
    Auto pilot friendly (centraly mounted)
    easy access
    Easy fitting (new or retro)
    positive feel and feed back
1 turn lock to lock(if required)
fully adjustable fine tune or akerman
    no hydrolics
    more info available

    Catmando 2
Dave i have some pics if you wish
We will sell this system in kit form complete from steering head to quadrant or stock head.
This system is installed in a wilderness 1350- and is a working prototype.
To date all tests are over expertations but have still some testing to come
I estimate this system will be ready for the general market around May 07
However i would be more than happy to discuss this further if you intend to consider this system for your oun boat.

yes but i am using it as an analogy so keep your shorts on, what you are describing sounds like the perfect steering system so an idea of how it works sounds reasonable i too am building a cat and am considering steering systems, if more info is available as you say then post it, otherwise dont disturb my poor little platet
