    Hello.
I'm trying to use free software for the design of boats and ships instead of using AUTOCAD or RHINOCEROS3D programs. I found that this program named HullDesigner could be useful, but i got this error when im tried to run the hulls32.exe aplication.
Mi windows distribution is windows 10 home.

Can someone help me with this or recommend me another program open source or free ? I would like to try more solutions for the designing of ships.

There many free program but maybe little bit more complex than this, anyway the error is a common issue and is missing a Visual Basic dependencies, look into this page to fix or at latest search on web.

    Hey there,

It's great to hear that you're exploring alternative software for boat and ship design. HullDesigner can indeed be a handy tool for such purposes. However, encountering errors can be frustrating, especially when you're eager to dive into a new project.

Regarding your issue with hulls32.exe on Windows 10 Home, it could be due to compatibility issues or perhaps some missing dependencies. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the error:

    1. Compatibility Mode: Right-click on the hulls32.exe application, select "Properties," go to the "Compatibility" tab, and try running the program in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows, such as Windows XP or Windows 7.

    2. Run as Administrator: Sometimes, certain programs require administrative privileges to run smoothly. Right-click on hulls32.exe and choose "Run as administrator" to see if that helps.

    3. Check Dependencies: Make sure all necessary dependencies are installed on your system. Sometimes, software requires additional libraries or frameworks to function properly.

    4. Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can also cause issues with running certain applications. Ensure your graphics drivers are up-to-date.
If none of these steps solve the problem, it might be worth reaching out to the developer or community forums for HullDesigner. They may have encountered similar issues and could provide more specific guidance.

As for your query about how to make a signature, it typically involves accessing your profile settings within the forum. Look for an option like "Edit Profile" or "Signature Settings." From there, you can customize your signature with text, links, or images to personalize your forum posts.

I hope this helps, and best of luck with your boat and ship design endeavors!
