trying to identify boat seized off the coast of BC during prohibition

    Hi,
    I'm trying to identify this boat that belongs to a friend of mine. It is located in Yellowknife, NWT Canada. He was told the boat was seized off the coast of BC during prohibition and it was apparently used by Al Capone's men to run illegal alcohol. Any help would be appreciated.

    Welcome to the forum.

    It looks pretty typical of the era, but a positive ID will be very difficult. Record keeping was marginal at best back then and much less so on craft heading into an elicit trade.

    That boat appears to be a waste, ready for the bonfire. What's your interest in her?

    Maybe this 'Queen of the Rum row' has met above boats when they came alongside to run the liquor ashore . . . . :idea:
