Canting Keel Trunk Within a Trunk Idea

    The foils I showed from BackmanBoats are not adjustable. ON the 21'er it's canted, on the 29'er it's canted and the fins on the bulb adjusted.

    Thanks again guys. I'm going to relook at the "V" trunk volume and it's effect on self righting after the thing gets knocked down. It shouldn't hold any water but I'm going to doublecheck.

    lift +cant

    Doug, thanks! Can you go into anymore detail? I'm having trouble understanding how the lift function works.
    Does whatever lifts the keel disengage as the keel cants?

    The keel can be lifted when it is in the vertical position. The vertical ram does the lifting, a carrige is engaged by two pins to lift the keel, and are actuated hydraulically.
