Doug Lord talked about a twin canting keel system, the designers have a website in english http://www.defline-yachts.com. French magazines have tested the configuration, it does not perform well because the windward keel is constantly hitting the waves.

    Canting keel/hydrofoil

Just to make sure it was clear: I was just mentioning the twin canting keel in response to a question-certainly not advocating it.
The most promising future(almost now in models) canting keel application to me is the use of two hydrofoils: one on a daggerboard ahead of the canting keel(and retractable) and one on the rudder. Add to that a flap on the lower portion of the canting keel fin to develop righting moment when fully canted and you have a recipe for very very fast keelboats...Not too far away either!
