Canoe vs Kayak bow?

    Yes, I've seen some aluminum canoes with some serious battle scars. I believe that the Kevlar/fiberglass composite construction is the way to go, at least in my area. From my understanding of this lay-up, the Kevlar serves as the impact resistant component and the fiberglass serves as the abrasion resistant component. Thus producing a hull that has the ability to rebound from hard impacts.
