Can you identify this design ??

    Can someone identify this design before I approach the owner about saving it from any futher (criminal) decay ?? !!:(

    I'm guessing about 36ft and glass and not carvel as the hull pattern would suggest.I could be wrong.

    Sure looks like planking to me mate, but I am only Aussie, we all know that the Kiwis are better boatbuilders!

    could be athol burns, looks south island to me:))

    I reckon its a Roberts 36, carvel timber.

    Sure does look a lot like a BR 36 now you mention it allthou many subtle differances, BR wasnt beyond ripping other peolpes ideas.

    Looked for Athol Burns designs but cant find anything close yet.

    I just cant see it being carvel though,you would have to have all those ribs = weight ect ,and for the planking to be that obviours ? I just cant see it.Besides the shape I thought was to modern.

    This is New Plymouth and very interesting to watch this boat in a blow and see how well it sits when all other boat mast/rigs are swaying about , this is real steady which to me says well ballanced .

    Nice boat.Needs saving :)
