can i put a junk rig on the design without changing anything?

Can i just simply put the junk rig on this boat design? And would anyone recomend a better design in the 17 to 22 foot boat designs? i really want a deep hull design i'm thinking about changing some things though to make it look more like this boat i fell in love with.

The short answer is no. You can install a junk rig on this boat, but things will need to move around to maintain balance.

 

Spar would need to be further forward, probably penetrate the hull, reinforce the deck and foot. Also the idea of the Junk yacht as pioneered by Hassler, etc... was very much driven by the idea of making sail handling super easy from within the boat. So at some level you might want to consider whether you have similar needs and whether they could be accommodated in a boat of this design by a rig that would better suit it.
