Can anyone find a weirder boat?

    what about this one.....

    someone took a inland-waters-cargo-ship (Kempenaar), cut it in 3 parts, removed the cargo-hold-part and welded the two remaining parts together :confused:

    he was obviously looking for the meaning of the word "ugly"

    this one almost hit me(in kayak..)..can you imagine in the news paper..

    a kayaker as been run over a bus...:D :confused: hahahhaha

    took those pict aprox 3 weeks ago.

    Hey, I've seen that big red thing driving around town. I haven't met it in the canal yet though!

    I'll have to watch out next summer, now that I know it is prowling the waterways.

    It looks well designed for its purpose, however. There is a reason why shoeboxes look like shoeboxes.

    i think it only goes on the ottawa river. this is where i took those pict at the marina de hull.

    That makes sense joco. I looks like it would fill most of the canal's width at the narrower points near Dow's lake.

    A couple in their 70's built this. Plastic olive drums plus deck plus shed and outboard = heaven.
    Note nav light - rotating orange !

    Well, those pictures alone would answer 75% of all posts in the Design area. How many "cheap floating rafts" and "how much can plastic drums support" threads exist ? :)

    ....boatbuilding in the 2000's....wow we have really advanced ourselves eh....unfortunately, that is about all that we will be able to afford in the next few years the way governments are spending out taxes.......
