Are you asking about passengers or working seamen?

    you should read:

"Effects of Motion at Sea on Crew Performance: A Survey" by Stevens and Parsons, in SNAME's Marine Technology, vol 39. Jan 2002.

One of the best papers on the subject i've ever read.

Some difference is how people believe they respond, and some might get sick even when they think about it.. but eventually after getting used to water and "normal" motion it's like AdHoc said..

    oh No,ADhoc.

its verydepend on ergonomy and human response.maybe on belives this diffrence was created but on the crews, the nation is very effective.

You do´nt find any difference in the way people of different ethnic roots respond to ships motion. Thats a fairy tale.
