Any 5 axis cnc facilities in uk ?

    I need foam cut for my project its 5x2.5m. Any idea of cost would be appreciated too.

    There are supposedly a couple in SE Queensland, Australia? - - - so there should be several in GB.... Lots - keen to do it yourself by hand?

    No, don't really want to do it by hand as it needs to be very accurate (car).

    Foam Machining

    We have always worked the foam by hand for our consoles and small mouldings - see www.explorermarine.co.uk -

    However, try either Scott Bader in Northampton who supply our composites materials, or Magnum - Venus - Plastech in Gunnislake Cornwall who are world leaders in advanced composites, and will no doubt know whrere there is one in the UK.

    If you are dealing with a professional project which is adequately funded there are lots of companies you could approach.They will not be interested in dealing with amateurs who supply poor models requiring lots of remedial work before toolpaths can be generated.

    Model is finished in solidworks, and it needs to be exactly reproduced. As far as funding is concerned one of the reasons for posting here is to get idea or ball park figure. Thanks

    Try HPL or St Bernard Composites.Note to self-be glad I post on this forum under a pseudonym,they won't know who to blame.
