I have been building an outrigger canoe from
recycled materials found in dumpsters. I did buy two
sheets of plywood some glue and screws and a few litres
of epoxy but the rest all came from the trash or free.

See the link below for more detail. I will update my progress

Here's how I transport my boat. No trailer required.
The outrigger and paddle ride inside the car. This boat cost me
less than $200NZD but could be made even cheaper!
    Happy sailing!!

A very basic build indeed. Your design?

It would be much more user-friendly if you could paddle from the port side between the 2 hulls. Perhaps you could try taking out the center spar and move the other 2 out a bit ... enough to paddle there. The boat should go much straighter and take less work to paddle.

Yes I designed this one myself. I learned a lot for next time.
I did remove the centre so I can paddle on port side, the centre deck is for riding
while I float the river. My next job is making an outboard motor to power it :)

I have fitted a seat to the boat and a mast that is 2.7m, I don't know if that
is the right size for the boat but it looks ok. I plan to make a balanced lug sail rig
    out of polytarp
