Don't worry about this windage. It will be very minor contribution to overall drag generated by hull and its wave system.

For yacht, we start considering the windage for wind values above 30kts, and in any case we will never loose more than 1 or 1.5 kts on top speed, especially if top speed is not high.

Waves will cause more trouble, if sea state is in line with 30 or 40kts true wind. :!:

Sviau, have you tried to contact Pershing ( www.pershing-yacht.com )?
I think your Super S is pretty in line with their (agressive) style.

I contacted nobody for time being, and I got 2 solid contacts for construction projects. If they go on, I would be able to open my own design and architecture office.
Pershing is a good idea - I will look forward :)

Maritimus and particularly Obsidienne are very nice. Classic proportions, interpreted with modernity.

Obsidienne at (I assume) about 1:4 scale or 12.5 m/45' long would be a fantastic cruiser for two for a couple weeks, or weeklong charters for say 3 couples. Move it with twin 150 hp Diesels at say 18 kt, you could cover a lot of water that way. Maybe rework the stern to fit the smaller scale a little better, maybe a slipper stern? That would be an interesting look. Very like a smaller Beowulf.

I think reducing Obsidienne size would be a difficult task, because what makes her so elegant is the low superstructure.
It can work maybe if I make a lower bulwark on the aft part and not a flush deck with guardrails in order to not create a massive aft superstructure with convenient height for people standing inside.
    Your advice Sir ?

i very much appreciate your design concepts.
one can see that you have a 'navy' experience especially if you look at your SaFe design.... :p

but what on earth is this (see attchement)?
found it on your website and it somewhat reminds me of the movie 'La Cité des enfants perdus' from Jeneut & Caro.....
