need help for mould preservation

    anybody help me over mould preservation, we have about 30-35 fiber mould of boats but haven't good technique for preservation. can anyone give advise or link. it will be great appreciated.

    The best way to store a mold is with a part in it. next would be a gelcoat/glass skin. if outside the sunlight is the enemy when I was working in the desert over there we just turned them over and then painted the mold white.

    I think Eric Sponberg answered this question awhile back when asked about protecting a mold during shipping. If I remember his answer it was wax the mold well and spray a chopper layer into it. Inverting it afterward would also help.

    Mold Preservation

    If you have to store your mold outside, paint the outer surfaces black. UV light from the sun will degrade the resin in the mold. Lamp black prevents UV light penetration.
