I just bought an 18' bow rider that needs to have the aft floor replaced. It feels like other areas are also soft, so I thought I would replace the floor of the easily accessible sections.

The stringers look great, not wet no visible sign on deterioration.

I have bought west system epoxy to laminate the floor. Any thought on plywood(this seems to be a contentious issue here).

Wondering how many coats of epoxy I should apply. I was thinking I should wet out the wood (both sides) allow to become tacky, then epoxy with another coat then use the "barrier" coat twice.

Also the hull has quite a few pot marks in it down to the glass, the glass appears to be fine no visible defects more like pealing paint and filler. I was thinking of using epoxy and and filler additive to fill plus a "barrier" coat and paint to restore.

Am I on the right track? Any pointers?

    I appreciate any input.

    Thanks
    Justin

Just a quick follow up since the spell-checker made me loose my first version.

In the epoxy sequence, it should be epoxy (until tacky) glass, epoxy, barrier coat, barrier coat

    Thanks,
    Justin

    I'm in the same 'boat'

    :D
I'm just a couple of steps behind you on the same project, take a look at my pics, and let me know if you have any thoughts on maybe changing by stringer layout. I'd also appreciate any input you happen to get along the way as well.

This boat has seen many years of neglect.

Take your time... don't get in a hurry.

New stringers are in order as well as soles & what not...
