hi everyone, im looking to add some more storage and to change the way my transom looks.

i have now built two boxes attached to the transom, but i dont know what would be the best way to shape them.

please check the pictures attached, im currently looking into two options, one with the hood beeing in an angle, and the other with the hood just plain flat.

    i would appreciate any recommendations.

The appearance of the boxes is a matter of what one sees as pleasing. Make the boxes any shape that you like. The important matter is that you do not use that storage space for heavy objects. Unneccesary weight at either end of the boat is a bad thing and when the weight is excessive it can cause handling and sea keeping problems that are dangererous.

My personal take is that I much prefer the horizontal tops, as they continue the gunwale lines. What function would the angled tops serve? Ditto messabout on the weight issue; they could serve nicely for tackle, portable VHF, binoculars etc.
