I had a fishing boat that I called "Happy Hooker", In fact it was the appropriate name considering the cost of upkeep.

"Mr. Bush took the funding that would have been used to strengthen New Orleans’ defenses against natural disasters and spent the money in Iraq,"

An abject LIE , the NO area gets more funding for the Army Core than any other area in the US.

Unfortunatly local fifedomes lnown as Leve boards stole the cash for local (endless "needs").

A system built for F3 will not survive in a F5 , as shown by the first colapse of the COMPLETED section of rebuilt leve.

IF GB had ordered a Fed response WITH OUT the consent of the imbecilic gov , the Lefts Loosers would be all over screaming GB is an Emperor and should be hanged for violating the Possie Commitaus Act.

Well said Bergalia mate! Whilst everybody has a right to complain about their Government etc. It doesn't do a lot, nor is this the right place to do it! This is about Boat Names not politics, unless of course you want to call your boat "Beating about the Bush!" - now there's a thought! :p

First boat was "Wasp" after the boat Stuart Little raced against the Lillian B Womwrath.

Current boat is "Befana", the Christmas Witch. I like names like Sea Witch and I got the boat in the month of December, so Christmas Witch seemed a good choice. The fact that la Befana was a day late and a dollar short in getting to meet baby Jesus seems to fit also ... :)

I'm now trying to come up with a name for the 11'3" runabout I'm building. It's a Glen-L Dyno-Mite. I may name her after her top speed in KPH ... something like "Sixty Kay"

The next one is a schooner and might end up "Wasp II".

About funny names in boats I remember a German sail cruising boat in Menorca called "Xoringuer". This word only has a meaning to you if you know Menorca well and its local drink, called Pomada. Pomada is made of Xoringuer and lemon juice. Xoringuer is the local Gin, one of the best, if not the best Gin in the world. The English were the occupying power during 200 years and they have made a local gin with the plants they could find on the island. The locals made their own changes...quite unique and refreshing.

And what about a spanish boat called Blablabla. Can you imagine a radio call?

My first one, a traditional sailing boat was called "Gaivina", a kind of sea sparrow that dives for fish.
