The Marketplace Forums can be useful for members who know one another well from forum discussions and offline communications and wish to post boatbuilding tools, drafting tools, molds and tooling, and other professional equipment for sale or trade. However, caution and good judgement should always be used. Especially when considering any business with anyone not already well known to you and trusted, due diligence must be used to confirm details and identity and be sure the transaction is safe before any money or property changes hands. Always use good judgement and perform due dilligence and follow these guidelines.

Hull, deck/trunk, deckhouse and top molds for sale for a 33' hard-chined, "built down" style downeast yacht. Hull & deck molds have had three pulls, house & top have had one. This is very high quality tooling, built by one of the old Maine masters and is stunningly fair (see photos). All the molds have been meticulously cared for and were originally intended to produce a minimum of 50 pulls. A replacement cost of over $250,000 has been quoted.

The boat is one of my designs, the former Black Horse 33, and as far as I know is the only example of a marriage between hard chines and a built down style bottom. The result is a beautiful and remarkably efficient little boat (30 kts on 440 hp at 16,000 pounds) with a low profile that delivers an exceptional ride.

This is a small boat that truly is of the “finestkind” and deserves to be back in production. Motivated owner has reduced the price for the entire set of molds to $70,000.

    Email for details.
