More on the Mid Boom Traveler conversion on the Cal 2-29.

Went down to the used boat parts store, Boaters Resale Shop of Texas, and found a traveler for a Catalina 30. with teak blocks already attached.

Whatever they use to coat it has completely failed. I was thinking of using this:

    Cerakote 5100Q

    MC-5100Q CERAKOTE CLEAR - ALUMINUM https://www.cerakote.com/finishes/MC-5100Q/cerakote-clear-aluminum/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3PPftpvu4wIVsv_jBx2GrgqfEAAYAiAAEgLf0PD_BwE

Any one have any experience with this product or know a something better?

    Thanks all.

A picture is worth a thousand words...
Any coating on any surface is only as good as the prep.
The coating you propose to use protects against many things, but says nothing about mechanical wear, as in abrasion or impact, things a traveler is bound to experience.
