Blender 3.0 "Geometry Nodes" is pretty mind blowing... I am spending a bit more time learning "Geometry Nodes" now...

Basic hull structure components I'm playing around with new geometry nodes....

It allows for very precise parametric dimensions with real time feedback... very similar to grasshopper for rhino.

Geometry nodes is a game changer for blender for sure.

Nice I will check your nodes,
I also hope, if you can start the develop, of a simple add-on to extract some hydrostatic data, from a custom hulls in Blender

Here my attempt with node for linesplan from an hull I have to get back into this but you are right the Geometry node can be a game changer

I have spent some time recently updating the geometry nodes version of blender hull generator.

The latest changes are commited to github (link in previous post)

I have tested the latest version by producing a real world scale model generated with the geometry nodes in the previous post. Everything fits together tightly.

    The file is posted on github. 20220611_161936.jpg 20220611_164141.jpg 20220611_170728.jpg 20220611_170815.jpg 20220611_171015.jpg 20220611_171026.jpg

You are too far ahead, this is something that I have to look carefully, with the geo nodes I'm at zero progress.

Will try to do some more documentation and sample files... the nodes are reusable and can be linked between projects
