Am I the last to learn Bill Garden passed away in 2011?

Seems like only yesterday somebody was on this forum trying to contact him.

    I hope you reached him.

He was a great guy and a wonderful designer.

He lived well into his 90's.

    Fair winds old timer.

hoytedow Fly on the Wall - Miss ddt yet?

No, that last to learn would be me.

He had a great portfolio of designs, all of them beautiful.

I met him once and spoke to him on the phone a few times.

Just a nice, friendly guy. Open minded, pleasant.

I skippered a Walloon (SP?), one of his designs, for years.

Beautiful boat and a pleasure to sail. A schooner.

    Thanks Tad.

That is exactly where I learned about it.
