Best beam for Catamaran?

    terhohalme BEng Boat Technology

    Here is a formula based on ISO 12217-2 standard.

    BC = (LH + LWL) / 4

    Where BC is beam between centerlines, LH is hull length, LWL is waterline length. This beam is assumed to be the highest where only trasverse heeling moment is taken into account.
