that and it turns out the ingot stuff is cheep
or at least its no more than the cost of the component material
I am a bit concerned about this substitution of manganese for tin though

I am not a metallurgist, but in general manganese makes the alloy harder. But when there is zero tin in it, it is not a bronce imho.

rereading my old threads now that I'm getting ready to start

bolts I can machine myself, all I need is the rod which I can get here in town from the foundry. I'm going with a cold molded hull and if I can find it I'd like to use the plastic staples someone mentioned. Any hints would be appreciated. I like the idea that they are used in conjunction with an air gun, something I am way to familiar with and that they are relatively cheap. Seems like the perfect solution for a laminate temp fastener.

    thanks guys

According to an earlier post by apex1 Raptor Nails supplies plastic staples and guns for them. I don't know anything about them or the supplier.

Hey Boston, don't let Frosty know that you are getting another "gun"...

Nice to hear about your little lady mate, we all wish you both well.
