    www.thenavalarch.com launches the spreadsheet for Capstan Design - Required power for Berthing

    This Excel sheet helps the user obtain the required Capstan Line Pull and Capstan Power for berthing operations

    The Capstan can then be selected from the required Capstan Power calculated

    Very useful in berthing operations to select the desired Capstan
    Can be used to evaluate the suitability of a vessel's capstans for berthing operations
    Based on US Navy DDS - 582
    Can be used for both Electromechanical and Electrohydraulic Capstans
