Calculate area from moses

    Hi,

    I would like to determine how to calculate the area in the attached.

    You can see there are two area columns one is for righting and one is for heeling.

    I've tried using Simpson but I can't seem to reverse engineer the formula of the area.

    Please see attached file for your reference.

    I have attached as well the graph. I would like to determine the formula for the area.

    What was your result? I assume you didn't use Simpson properly, I got a difference of ~0.08 % and if proper done you also should get reasonable results.

    f(x)*dx ~ h/3*[f(x0)+4f(x1)+2f(x2)+...+4f(xn-1)+f(xn)]

    i tried but im getting wrong values

    SM x gz = fa but my fa does not tally the one from moses...
    I'm trying to get it by degrees

    Got it, i was multiplying it to radians silly me. hence im getting the wrong answer.

    i posted the 20.24 area in 12 degrees...
