    Given the following Hydrostatic Data and If the draft at perpendiculars forward is 5.80 m and aft is 6.20 m when floating in salt water:
    :D:p:D:p
    What would be the draft when the ship enters the freshwater at constant displacement? How much will the change of trim be? Show your calculation please.

    METRIC MARINER

    LBP = 160 meters
    Light Ship Displacement = 7,798 tons
    Light Ship VCG = 9.60 meters
    Light Ship LCG aft of F.P. = 84.28 meters

    Hydrostatic Data
    Draft in Meters,
    Displacement in Metric Tons,
    KM in Meters,
    TPC in Metric Tons / Centimeter,
    MT1 in M-tons/cm,
    LCB and LCF in Meters "+" = aft, "-" = fwd of Midships
    Density Assumed = 1.025

    Let's do the opposite: you give the solution, you show the calculations you have done, and we will tell you if it is correct or not. What you think.?

    It is a bugger when others can't be persuaded to do your legwork for you ! Let me add my commonsense, probably despised layman's calculation to this......clearly the increase in draft will be in the region of 2%, if that kind of increment is likely to be of critical importance, I suspect the tidal information and accuracy of charts at your disposal, for the area of navigation, would be more important than the answer you seek, for practical purposes, but quite useless for this paper exercise.
