backstay adjuster

    I search a model of mecanical backsay adjuster home made for a 30 foot sailboat, I have stainless 316L, and welding tool, do you put help me, tanks

    The easiest, cheapest and lightest system is a block and tackle. Do you need to change adjustment fast?

    You may be able to design a pelican hook affair to work on this size boat, though the typical setup like this that is available, may be too small for your rig. You could use a turnbuckle with a wheel welded to the body, swivels at the ends, etc.

    There is a rather expensive ratcheting thing out there, but the cost, in your case the engineering needed would be considerable.

    What's wrong with the tackle setup seen on most racers?
