    Dear forum!

I'd like to compare some different types of azimuth propulsion devices.
I am not that knowledged in ship propulsion that I can do a good job.

Do you know any information sources where someone already compared the attached types of propulsion technologies?

    I need some advantages/disadvantages in
    - noise (inside water for fish observing)
    - weight
    - maneuverability
    - efficiency
    - sealing
    and so on.

The level of efficiency part is the most difficult to me because I don't know the exact advantages and gainings of
    - ducted props
    - waterjet technology (stator + rotor)
    - contrarotating props
    - twin props (z-drive with 2 props on 1 shaft as fig. 1 in attachment)

    Can you help me?

    Thanks a lot!
    Eggert

    No idea?

Is there any other forum I can ask for this?

    Thanks
