rhino 4.0 to maxsurf

    hello all

    i exported a trim surface to igs, and import it to maxsurf, but why surface becomed untrim,:confused:

    The lastest version is supposed to import trimmed surfaces, but with earlier versions the trimming info is not used and you have to either create an untrimmed surface first or trim it in Maxsurf.

    As velipekka says you also need to fix any naked edges for maxsurf hydro calcs to work.

    I think there are some solutions if you dont have maxsurf 12 or more.
    you can take sectional curves along the trimmed surface in rhino. Then delet the surface and make the new surface by lofting the curves. then to trimmed surface will not apear in maxsurf.
