    Hi All,

I am looking for a library of AutoCad blocks for yacht deck hardware ie winches, travellers, furlers etc. for inclusion into GA drawings etc.

Does anybody have a library they would be willing to share?

    Thanks
    Brett

    Thanks Gades,

I missed the link on the harken site. Luckily Harken corrected me also.

    Thanks

    Great link... thanks !
Now I can lay out my decks! (my winches were Ok but not accurate enough for construction)

PS when you download makesure you open with Winzip, not just double click - might just be me but it did not work otherwise.

Same here :) I missed the link, I sent Harken an e-mail and they told me about it (though, just 5 minutes before that, I found the link with Google :D ).

Paul: I think I just double clicked, and it worked fine. Are you sure that your computer is allright yet? ;)

Do you guys know of any other manufacturer who "gives away" CAD files?

    Gades,

Plenty of manufacturers give away cad files for products that need to be incorporated into other products. more often than not, you just need to ask.

    AutoCAD Yachts

Hello BrettM. I see you are into Yachts etc. I wonder if in your travels around the net you have come cross yachts and boats etc in AutoCAD block form. I am working on some architectural concept plans for a boat club. I would like to dress up thr drawings with some yacht plans & elevations. I have some simple trailer sailer size yachts. Im looking for some 10m catamaran type yachts. any suggestions.

    Anthony,

Sorry but I do not have anything like you are asking about that I can give away as a block. (Mostly due to Commercial confidence)

You could try Jutson, Grainger or Schionning as they specialise almost totally on cats these days and probably will be able to help you better than I can.

    Good Luck.
    Brett

PS. Which boat Club is being redone?
