    The Fifth Chesapeake Powerboat Symposium will be held on June 14-15, 2016 at St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland. As in the previous very successful Symposia held in 2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014, the symposium will feature presentations on all aspects of Power Boat design and construction, particularly relating to:
    • Hull Design and Analysis
    • Materials and Fabrication
    • Structural Mechanics
    • Failure Analysis and Repair
    • Modeling and Simulation
    • Tank Testing
    • Software, Electronics, and Systems
    • Offshore Racing Developments
    • Propulsion Systems
    • Regulatory Developments
    • Human Factors in Control of High Performance Boats

    We anticipate a deadline for abstracts in early February.

    At the previous three Symposia, a noted naval architect was honored with a special biographical presentation. In 2016 we plan to continue this practice by recognizing another individual who has made significant contributions in the area of power boat design or construction. For questions please contact John Hoyt at jgh3@aol.com. Or see the microsite – coming shortly.

    Another reminder;

    The call for papers is still open; please send abstracts, (or even less detailed inquiries that you might want some feedback for fleshing out into an abstract) to Ed Lewandowski, Edward.Lewandowski@csra.com
