    Hi,
I am designing a 3 meter long boat, with cross section as attached. It will be powered by a 15Hp engine, and engine area would be separated by a bulkhead at 1 m from aft.

The hull will be cold pressed using a bending machine as shown, and transversely stiffened by 50x5mm Flat bar all round at 500mm spacing.

My question is , as the cold press would provide enough strength, can we do away with longitudinal stiffeners for this small boat?

    Thanks
