There are a kind of people who like low temp adventures.
    e.g. Juho & Sovhi .
I learned more from their videos than from the entire internet.

Thank you for the heads up about these folk Montero - I have just had a quick look at their Youtube channel and it looks fascinating - I have bookmarked it for future reference by this (now) armchair sailor.

It is one thing to sail above the Arctic Circle in the Northern summer, another entirely to over winter in such a place. It is bad enough to be snow locked in a house for a week in -25, let alone trapped in ice. I have watched them from the very beginning when they had the other boat, he does great video. Definately not my kind of thing.

META ARCTIC VOYAGER 47 motorsailer for sale | De Valk Yacht Brokers https://www.devalk.nl/en/yachtbrokerage/351918/META-ARCTIC-VOYAGER-47.html
There's the story behind that type of boat .
French couple plan to repeat Fridtjof Nansen Fram expedition . They go into "wrong " fjord in Svalbard and been "rescued" by Norwegians. Some offshore tug was involved in pricey "rescue" mission and they lost the boat because of rescue fee. There are also some dogs legalisation problem etc.
Later Juho use to sail the same boat.
What is interesting to me hulls of Meta Arctica and probably Antarctica/Seamaster /Tara are build like shells using thick enough aluminium.

After watching some Discovery channel program where two British guys crossing Bering strait by some devils machine : ratrac mixed with catamaran , I've been inspired and started to design catamaran able to world cirumnavigate by meridian .
But this French (again) guys amazed me . High level of endurance .
By the way it never come to my mind use muscles for propulsion .

yes follow em , they wintered over locked in ice, they are Finns so they know the perils, I do not know of other chine boats being locked in ice, people usually build tumblehome into round bilge hulls
