I have a Swedish made sailboat named Royal Viking 26'9" LOA and need any info on these boats. It looks like a smaller Kettenburg K38 with a transom rudder. Supposedly 9000lbs dry.
Any info helps, supposedly made in engberg bay, sweden?

More info about the Royal Viking

I'm not saying Hans is wrong, but the info I recived (second hand) from a current owner, named Hasse Eriksson in Finland, says that the number built was 35. Around ten are supposedly still in Sweden and at least two are in Helsinki Finland. The rest went for export all over.

Hasse has drawings that he might be ble to scan for you if interested.

Contact Hasse Eriksson directly for any further info.

    Good luck

I sailed as a kid on a Royal Viking. My dad purchased it in 1964. We sailed it on Lake Erie just south of Monroe Michigan. I think we were one of the few on the Great Lakes. I will look for some pictures and post them. I think most of the American RV boats were on the west coast. They were imported by an airline pilot who lived in California.

I will post again when I find some pictures.

I owned a 1963 Royal Viking in San Diego, CA, in the 1980s. As far as I know, she is still there.
